Hi, I’m Jerry. Thank you for visiting Gospel Living.

If you’re here, there’s a good chance you’ve wrestled with questions about what it really means to be a Christian. Perhaps you’ve been discouraged by legalistic rules, disappointed by church politics, or simply confused by the many opinions surrounding Christianity today.

My mission is simple: to help people discover that following Jesus is first and foremost about a relationship with Him.

Too often, Christianity is presented as a list of rules to follow or traditions to maintain. While biblical truth, spiritual growth, and church involvement are important, they were never meant to replace a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. At its core, the Christian life is about knowing Him, trusting Him, and allowing Him to transform us from the inside out.

I have been a follower of Jesus for more than 40 years. During that time, I have experienced both the beauty and the challenges of life in the church. Like many others, I have seen how religion can sometimes overshadow the very message of grace and hope that Jesus came to bring.

A turning point in my journey came after a difficult experience serving as a youth pastor. Through that season, God helped me realize something profound: following Jesus is about much more than following a set of rules. It is about walking with Him daily, growing in faith, and learning to reflect His character in every area of life.

Don’t misunderstand me—the local church is essential. God designed us to live in community with other believers, and every Christian should be connected to a healthy church family. But our ultimate goal is not to conform to someone’s image of what a Christian should look like. Our goal is to become more like Jesus.

Through this blog, podcast, and other resources, I hope to help you cut through the noise, understand God’s Word more clearly, and discover the freedom, purpose, and joy that come from living a Christ-centered life.

Whether you’re a lifelong believer, new to faith, or simply exploring Christianity, you’re welcome here.

Let’s pursue Jesus together and learn what it truly means to live the Gospel every day.

Jerry
